It is important from time to time
to drop everything
and roll around in the grass
laughing with a friend!
“So you have pain now; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” ~ Jesus
(John 16:22)
This indeed was a joyous moment!!
Great photo, sweetheart! It captures the essence of joy!
You are sooooooo right! How heavy everything gets when we try to carry it all and forget to let go and just follow…
I think the only way to deal with the daily challenges of life is to find time for laughter and play!
Great words!
Thanks, Caddo. I’m glad you enjoyed this post. Blessings, Mark
I love it! I’d head out to the backyard right now if it weren’t 9 p.m. and dark out there! Ah, but tomorrow………………..
Be sure to wear something other than white, Dianne – I don’t want you blaming any grass stains on me! Love to you and Jim, Mark
Great photo and reminder!
Thanks, Linda. Have a happy day! Mark
I just nominated you for the Super Sweet Blogger Award.
Thank you for the honor, diedet! However, I have chosen not to do awards, mostly due to my limited time for blogging.
Love this! It brings such hope!
Thanks for your comment! I’m glad you enjoyed the post.
Your post resonates with the Psalm appointed for today, Psalm 19. We began our adult education series today as well, studying the Psalms we read that Sunday. May be all stop to ponder God’s creation and allow the beauty of the world to soothe our souls.
Yes, and the four-legged creatures are especially good at teaching us to celebrate life and just romp in the grass!
That picture sure brought a great big smile on my face!!!! 😀 Oh what a pose of absolute abandonment and sheer pleasure! Oh that we might well learn from our furry friends this precious lesson of living well. Thank you for a heartwarming post Mark. And remember to thank Dallis for me for capturing such a great moment. I love the playful childlikeness of this shot that she obviously treasure too. Sharon
I think abandonment and pleasure are the right words for the expressions on these faces! I will tell Dallis of your appreciation for this great photo. Blessings, Mark
very solid advice!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I look forward to reading more of your poetry.
What a great post! Love that photo, and thank you for the reminder of those amazing words from Jesus in the Book of John. Inspiring! Thanks again. Gina
